Just realized my wallet color says more about my scheduling than I thought
So I've been carrying this tan leather bifold for like 4 years now. Last week I was at a coffee shop in Austin and the barista noticed the patina and asked how long I'd had it. That got me thinking, I used to buy a new wallet every 8 months or so, cheap ones from the mall that would fall apart or just look tired. Now I treat it like my daily planner, it ages with me, holds my metro card and a folded receipt from my favorite taco spot. The realization is that I was always chasing the 'new' feeling with accessories, but the worn-in stuff actually works better for how I live. Same thing with my watch strap, I switched to a weathered brown leather band last spring and stopped obsessing over keeping it pristine. Does anyone else notice their daily carry pieces change how they plan their week, or am I just projecting onto a piece of cowhide?
