A SAKS salesperson said my bag patina was "distracting", here's what I did
Last month at the Saks in Dallas, I was looking at a pre-owned Gucci tote and the associate pointed at my 5 year old Coach bag and said the uneven patina takes away from the whole look. I thought patina was just character, but she showed me how a quick leather conditioner and a few minutes of buffing evens it out. Now I do that every 3 months and my bags look way more polished. Does anyone else treat patina as a flaw or a feature?

I read an article last year that said leather goods are meant to age, and that patina actually raises the value of high-end bags like Hermès. But I get the polished look too, especially if you're carrying it to a nicer store.
