That estate sale seller in Portland tried to pass off a re-dyed bag, watch out
I found a supposedly rare vintage piece at an estate sale in Portland last month, and the seller swore it was original until I asked to see the stitching up close, then she changed her story real fast. Has anyone else caught a re-dyed bag that looked perfect from a distance but fell apart under a flashlight?

Why would you trust a flashlight over your own eyes? If the color looked that good from a distance, maybe it was just a really solid redye job, and that's not exactly a crime unless she lied about it. But here's the thing, estate sale sellers are not appraisers, they're just people selling grandma's junk. You saw a deal, you took a risk, and now you're mad because a stranger didn't hand you a guaranteed win. Honestly, if you wanted museum proof, you should've paid museum prices instead of hunting for a steal. Next time, bring a loupe and a contract if you want that level of certainty.
