Shoutout to my friend who convinced me to stop ignoring my 401k

For years I just let my company put 3% of my pay into the default fund and never looked at it. My friend Sarah, who works in HR, asked me about my allocation over coffee last month and I had no clue. She showed me my statement and I was basically 90% in bonds, which is way too safe for someone my age. I logged in that night and switched to a target date fund for 2055.
