Question about buying a dedicated fermentation fridge. I dropped about $250 on a used mini fridge and an inkbird controller. Some friends say it's a game changer for consistent temps, others think it's a waste when a closet corner works fine. What's your take?

Honestly, that setup sounds exactly like what I did last year. My apartment has wild temperature swings, and using a closet corner gave me really inconsistent brews. Having that dedicated fridge with the inkbird let me nail a specific temp for a whole fermentation, and the difference in my final beer was huge. For me, it was totally worth the money for the control.

My old apartment was the same way.

Spent years fermenting in a closet corner and kept fighting off-balance flavors. Grabbed an inkbird and a mini fridge myself and instantly saw cleaner beers with way less stress. It's one of those things you don't realize you needed until you try it.
