Warning: I just found out how many fence posts fail from using the wrong concrete mix
I was reading a trade report from the University of Georgia extension office, and it said over 30% of premature post failures are from using a high-strength mix that doesn't allow for proper drainage. I've always been told to use the strongest stuff, but now I'm rethinking my whole approach. Has anyone else switched to a more porous mix and seen better results?

What mix ratio do you use now?

Used to swear by a 50/50 split, honestly. But seeing those test results made me switch to 60/40 for good.
