PSA: Hit a gas line in a Denver backyard last Tuesday
Was digging post holes with my auger and the whole thing kicked back, smelled rotten eggs immediately. Had to call 811 right there, shut down the job for two days while they marked everything. Anyone else had a close call with utilities they didn't know were there?

Doubt it's as big a deal as people make it sound. Mitchell.shane acts like 811 is some magic fix but they miss stuff all the time. Just seems like a hassle for a couple fence posts.

I managed to slice through my own cable internet line last spring. The worst part was having to explain to my wife why her work Zoom call just died. I felt like a real pro that day.
