Is it really that bad though? I've done a lot of stuff that's tough on the hands and it never felt like a dealbreaker. Maybe you just need to adjust your grip or something. People make a big deal out of small things sometimes. I just don't see the huge problem here.

Remember my buddy who said the same thing? He kept at it for a month and ended up with a wrist brace for two weeks. Sometimes you don't feel it until it's too late.
