Taipei vs Chiang Mai for coworking spaces was no contest

I spent 3 weeks working from a shared table in Taipei that was loud and had spotty WiFi. Then I moved to Chiang Mai and paid $150 for a month at PunSpace near the old city. The internet was 100% reliable and I got a dedicated desk with a monitor. Has anyone else found a massive difference between cities for actual getting work done?

Did you try any of the bigger co-working spots in Taipei like The Hive or Kafnu? I found the internet to be solid there, just had to pay a bit more than Chiang Mai.

Did you ever try the coworking spot near Dongmen station? Forgot the name but it’s small and quiet, not a chain. The internet was fast enough for video calls, and the price was about the same as The Hive but without the crowded feel. I usually avoid the bigger places in Taipei because they can get noisy during peak hours. If you need reliable wifi and don’t mind a bit of a walk for food, those tucked away spots are worth a shot.
