Spent a month in Chiang Mai and the coworking scene is getting weird

I worked from Punspace for a few weeks and it felt more like a social club than a place to get things done. The constant events and loud groups made it hard to focus, and I ended up paying for a quiet hotel room just to meet a deadline. Has anyone found a spot there that's actually good for deep work?

You paid for a hotel room just to work? That's wild, I can't believe it came to that. It really shows how loud those places have gotten. I feel like the whole point of paying for a coworking space just disappears if you have to do that.

Consider the tax write-off angle. If you're self-employed, a hotel room booked for work can be a business expense, while a coworking membership is just a monthly cost. Sometimes the quiet and a real bed for a nap between tasks is worth more than free coffee and background noise.
