Shoutout to the coworking space in Medellin that changed my mind
I was sure paying for a coworking spot was a waste when I could just work from cafes. Tried Selina Cowork in El Poblado for a week, cost about $80. The fast, stable internet alone saved me from two video call disasters. Having a real desk and meeting other nomads was a game changer. Anyone have other good cowork spots in Colombia?

Alright, hold on. Two video call disasters? What were you doing, trying to stream a 4K movie while on Zoom? My cafe wifi handles calls just fine if I sit near the router. I get the desk is nice, but eighty bucks buys a lot of coffee and pastries to camp out for a week. Seems like a fancy solution for a basic problem.

Yeah but have you tried having a serious work call with a blender going off in the background? Home noise is a real thing.

Hell yeah, @the_piper is spot on. I had a call last week where my neighbor decided to start leaf blowing right outside my window. Sounded like I was in a helicopter. I tried moving to a different room but that just made my voice echo like I was in a cave. Plus cafe wifi is honestly fine 90% of the time if you pick a spot. People act like buying a pricey desk is the only answer but a coffee shop works just as good for way less money. It's like people want to look the part more than they need the actual solution.
