Just came back from Medellin and the coworking scene is wild
Ngl I thought I'd find peace and quiet to work there but every cafe is packed with people blasting music while taking zoom calls. I visited three different spots in El Poblado and each one had someone doing a loud sales pitch right next to me. Tbh the rental prices there are also creeping up fast, like $800 for a decent one bedroom. Has anyone else had luck finding a quiet corner in a city that's hyped up for nomads?

Found a quiet library on the edge of Laureles that saved my sanity. It was run by the local government, cost nothing to use, and had actual silence rules. Most nomads dont bother with those spots since theyre not trendy or instagrammable. Also started booking coworking desks in non-peak hours like 7am to noon before the crowds showed up. The hype around El Poblado is real but theres quieter neighborhoods if you look past the main drag.

Right, that library was a lifesaver for me too. It's nice to have somewhere quiet that isn't a cafe full of people on laptops.
