Had to pick between a hammock in Bali or a desk in Bangkok

I chose the hammock for a month in Ubud, thinking I'd work beachside every day. Turned out I got sunburned and my laptop almost fell in the pool twice. Anyone else pick a spot that looked dreamy but was a total fail for getting work done?

Did you try a coworking space there?

Which one did you end up trying? I've heard mixed things about the ones downtown - some are too loud to actually get work done. Was it easy to find a spot with reliable wifi and not too many people taking calls right next to you? I feel like that's always the struggle with coworking spaces in busy areas.

Respectfully, I see it completely different. Those busy downtown spots are exactly where I get my best work done. You just have to pick the right table away from the main walkway and slap on some decent headphones. The wifi at most of them is actually better than my home connection since they pay for business grade plans. Hell, I've camped at three different ones downtown for whole afternoons and never had a problem finding a quiet corner. The people taking calls are gonna be everywhere including coffee shops and libraries, so you just gotta tune it out or pick a space with phone booths. It's about adapting, not expecting the space to be silent around you.
