Coworking space in Chiang Mai made me question my whole setup
I was working out of Punspace in Chiang Mai last month when this guy from Estonia sits down next to me. He pulls out a tiny folding bluetooth keyboard and a phone stand, working on a client project from his iPhone 8. He told me he made $6k last month doing web dev like that and asked why I lug around a 15 inch laptop. It got me thinking, are we all overcomplicating our gear just to feel like real digital nomads? What's the simplest setup you've seen actually work for someone on the road?

Punspace was wild for that, I saw a girl coding on an iPad with just a Logitech Keys-To-Go and she was pulling in $5k a month doing freelance Shopify stores lol. I switched to a 13 inch MacBook Air and a tiny mouse after that trip and honestly my back thanked me immediately. It's crazy how much gear we drag around just to look the part when a phone and a bluetooth keyboard is literally all you need.
