Overheard a server say our menu design was 'too honest'
She meant the prices were too visible, but it made me rethink how I layout any restaurant menu, so now I ask clients for a paper menu from a spot they hate to see what actually bothers them, has anyone else gotten weird feedback that flipped their process?

That's hilarious. "Too honest" is the nicest way anyone's ever said "your prices scare me."
Bet they'd prefer a menu where the price is hidden behind a QR code and a 30-second loading screen. Really builds up the suspense.
Honestly, stealing that "hate menu" idea though. Nothing teaches you more than a menu that makes you angry before you even order.
