Warning: I was working on a tight deadline for a flyer in InDesign and accidentally discovered the 'Option + Command + M' shortcut for paragraph styles.

I mean, I was about to go through the whole menu but that one key press saved me from a total panic, does anyone else have a go-to panic button shortcut for when you're in a rush?

Forget the shortcuts and just save constantly. I've had crashes wipe out hours of work right before a deadline. That panic is way worse than any menu hunt.

Save constantly instead of using shortcuts" always felt like overkill to me until I lost three hours of work in a crash last month. Now I hit Control+S every time I look away from the screen, even if it's just to grab my coffee. @dylan124 totally changed my mind on this, that feeling of your stomach dropping when it freezes is something else.

What's your save shortcut? Mine is Command S, but I hammer it so much it's just a reflex now. I actually set up an auto save script for InDesign because I got tired of the stress. It backs up my file every ten minutes to a different folder. That way if the main file corrupts or the program crashes, I only lose a tiny bit of work. It's the only thing that lets me focus when the clock is ticking down.
