Tried hand coding CSS after years of Figma auto-layout

I spent 3 hours fighting a flexbox grid that would have taken me 10 minutes in Figma. Auto-layout spoils you rotten until you remember you actually have to type out the math yourself.

Right, because nothing says "I'm productive" like typing display: flex for the 800th time and praying it works.

Theamason is right, and honestly it runs deeper than just CSS. Idk why but people treat these tiny little code patterns like some kind of magic spell, think about how we do the same thing with productivity apps or morning routines. We tell ourselves that installing that new to-do list app will finally fix our chaos, or that waking up at 5am will make us a different person. But really we are just typing display flex and crossing our fingers, hoping the rest of our life will just fall into place. It's like we are all just one small tweak away from being the person we think we should be.
