Took me 4 years to learn I could lock layers in Illustrator

Was moving anchor points all over the place because I kept clicking the wrong layer, and a coworker just glanced at my screen and asked why I wasn't locking them lol. Has anyone else had a moment where a simple fix made you feel like a total rookie?

dude i had the same thing but with the "isolate selected objects" button. spent years moving grouped stuff around one piece at a time. honestly just lock everything that's done and only unlock what you're actively working on. makes editing way less painful.

Did you hear about that software update that supposedly makes it lock automatically now or something?
