That time a senior designer showed me his keyboard and I felt stupid for 2 days

Ran into this guy at a coffee shop near my route in Austin last month. He saw me struggling with a vector mask on my laptop and just leaned over. Dude had like 3 keys on his keyboard that were totally worn down. He said "you're clicking around too much, just learn the damn shortcuts." Told me he remapped his entire Adobe suite to one hand so he never has to stop holding his stylus. I laughed it off but then spent the whole next day googling custom key mappings. Has anyone else felt like they wasted years by ignoring the shortcut panel?

Hell yeah, reminds me of the day I learned the "S" key moves you in games! Total game changer.

It's wild how we'll spend hours tweaking our desk setup or buying new gear but ignore the free efficiency hacks sitting right in front of us (like keyboard shortcuts). That whole experience probably applies to way more than just design software too - cooking, driving, even how you fold laundry.
