Realized I was manually aligning icons for 2 hours before finding the distribute spacing tool.

That's like 50 bucks of my time down the drain. Anyone have a better method for keeping icon sets neat in Figma?

Oh man, I was the same way for ages, stubbornly nudging things pixel by pixel. Then I watched someone use auto layout once and it felt like actual magic. Now I just group icons and let Figma space them out perfectly every single time. It saves so much headache on those big sets.

Grouping icons doesn't actually use auto layout though.

Exactly, it's the difference between fixing it once and fixing it every single time. Auto layout turns spacing into a rule instead of a guess. Once you set it, you can forget it.
