Pro tip: remap your pen tool before you trash another deadline
Last Tuesday I was mid-freelance logo job in Figma, 45 minutes before the client call, and my pen tool started drawing bezier curves all over the place because I'd accidentally hit the P key twice. I panicked, lost about 20 minutes undoing stray anchor points, then realized I'd never set up custom keyboard shortcuts for the pointer and direct selection tools. That hour I made a preset where V and A are on my left hand only, and now I switch tools without touching the mouse. It's saved me at least 10 minutes per session since, so no more frantically clicking the toolbar mid-flow. Has anyone else rebuilt their shortcut map after a specific tool disaster, or do you just stick with defaults?
