Looking back at my old Illustrator files from college is a trip

I was cleaning out a hard drive and saw I used the pen tool for EVERY shape, even basic circles. Found a blog post that said before the shape builder tool, designers wasted about 15 hours a month on that. Anyone else have an old workflow that seems crazy now?

Remember the star tool for circles.

Wait, do you mean using the star tool to make a circle? That's a weird workaround. The polygon tool is way better for that, you just set the number of sides really high. The star tool makes things pointy by default, which is the opposite of what you want for a smooth circle.
