I was working on a big client logo in Figma and my mouse just gave out
It was late, I was in my home office, and the scroll wheel stopped working right in the middle of fine-tuning some anchor points. I remembered reading about a keyboard shortcut to zoom in and out, so I tried holding the 'Z' key and dragging. It worked perfectly and let me finish the job without stopping. Has anyone else had a tool fail and found a keyboard shortcut that saved them?

Yeah, Z key is a lifesaver. I keep a cheap backup mouse in my desk drawer for exactly this reason.

Wait you keep a whole spare mouse in your drawer, @betty_shah?

Wait, have you ever noticed how we're all just one broken tool away from completely changing our workflow? @ray210 I bet you've got a story about a time you had to pivot fast when something gave up on you. That's the thing about this stuff, right? The shortcuts we learn when forced to adapt usually end up being permanent upgrades. It's like how I started using the command palette in everything after my trackpad died during a deadline, and now I can't go back. Those moments of panic where we think we're screwed, they actually push us to find better ways to do things that stick around long after the old tool gets fixed.
