I stick with an old paste shortcut, and my friends think I'm crazy

Most designers I know use the standard Ctrl+V for pasting in their apps. I still set mine to just the V key, like in a program I used ages ago. They say it's risky because it might conflict with other commands, but I've never had a problem. In my experience, removing that extra key press saves time over a long session. Sure, the new way is what everyone learns now, but my old habit feels smoother. Your mileage may vary, but sometimes the simple method from back then just clicks better.

You mentioned your friends worry about command conflicts with a single V key. Have you ever had to remap other tools, like the move function, because your paste shortcut took over its spot?
