Can we talk about people who ignore layer naming in Figma?
I swear, I jumped into a team project last week and every single layer was just named "Rectangle 73" or "Group 14." It took me an hour just to find the button component I needed to edit. Come on, how hard is it to double click and type "header button" instead of leaving it as "Frame 42"? I know it feels like a time saver in the moment, but when you have 200 layers and need to export something fast, you're totally screwed. My old boss used to make us rename layers before he'd even look at our files, and I thought he was being a jerk. Now I get it. Does anyone else have a system for forcing teammates to name their layers or do I just have to deal with this forever?

Man, I feel your pain on this one. Nothing kills momentum faster than digging through a mess of default names trying to figure out what's what.

Hold on @sullivan.john, did you just say an HOUR to find one button? That is absolutely wild to me. I would have lost my mind way sooner, probably would have just rebuilt the whole thing from scratch out of pure frustration. This is like the design equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack but the haystack is on fire and the needle is named something stupid. I genuinely don't get how people can work like that, it has to slow them down just as much as it slows everyone else. Your old boss sounds like a saint honestly, I wish more people enforced that rule from the start. Maybe we need to start shaming people in the comments until they learn.
