A freelancer in Chicago showed me a Figma plugin that cut my button work in half
I was at a small meetup in Chicago last month, and this freelancer named Sarah was showing someone her screen. She said, 'I used to spend 20 minutes on button states, but this plugin called 'Button Buddy' does the hover, active, and disabled styles in one click.' I tried it the next day, and it really does save a ton of time. Has anyone found other plugins that automate those repetitive component tweaks?

Lean into it, but keep your expectations in check. I noticed the same pattern with my microwave presets - they promise to reheat leftovers perfectly but somehow always turn my pizza into cardboard. That Button Buddy sounds great for the basics, but like those auto-cook settings, you still have to babysit it until you learn where its limits are. Sarah probably tweaked it a bunch before she made it look effortless.

Check out the Auto Layout plugin, it handles spacing and resizing automatically.

Sounds like magic until you try to align one button and it breaks the whole page. Maybe it's just me but these auto things never work how you'd think. Still ends up being a manual fix most of the time.
