A client said my mockups were too slow, so I finally learned keyboard shortcuts.

They pointed out I was clicking menus for every little edit in Figma, which was dragging out reviews. Now I use 'R' for rectangle and 'V' for move, and it's a total game-changer. What's the one shortcut you wish you'd learned sooner?

Honestly, I don't really buy into the whole keyboard shortcut hype. For me, clicking through menus is just how I work, and it lets me see all the options right there. I tried forcing myself to learn them once and it just messed up my flow, had to keep looking at a cheat sheet. Speed isn't everything if the way you work feels comfortable. I'd rather be a bit slower and actually know what I'm selecting than panic and hit the wrong key.

It's funny how different people work... once the shortcuts become muscle memory you don't even think about them, and my hands just stay on the keys.

Totally get the "panic and hit the wrong key" thing. That was me for ages. But man, once a few basics stick, it's a game changer. Like, I just hit ctrl+s to save without even looking. Or ctrl+z when I mess up. I don't even know where "undo" is in the menu anymore. It stops feeling like a cheat sheet and just becomes part of typing.
