Visited the new art museum in Denver and their exhibit labels gave me a portfolio idea

I was at the Denver Art Museum last weekend checking out their graphic design history exhibit. Each piece had a small card next to it showing the designer's process, from early sketches to the final print. It made me realize my own portfolio just shows finished work without any of the messy middle steps. I'm going to add a 'process' page to my site with scans of my sketchbooks and rejected concepts. Has anyone else tried showing their rough drafts and did it help during job talks?

Oh man, my sketchbook is just a graveyard of bad ideas. I started showing clients a few early fails and it actually made them trust my final choices more. How detailed do you make your process page?
