Visited a design studio in Portland and saw their physical portfolio books
I was at a small studio in Portland last week, and they had these big, printed portfolio books on the table instead of just a website link. The lead designer said they make a new one each year to show their best three projects. It got me thinking, is a printed book still a good idea for showing your work, or is it just a waste of paper and money now that everything is online? What do you all use to make a real impression in person?

Honestly, that reminds me of a guy I met who only brought a tablet to a meeting and the battery died. The awkward silence was way louder than any printed page.

Honestly, the "awkward silence was way louder than any printed page" part is so real. I've been in meetings where tech fails and the whole room just stares at each other like we forgot how to talk lol. But that's why I always keep a backup, even if it's just a cheap notepad. Paper doesn't need a charger or wifi and it's always ready to go. Plus, nothing beats the look on someone's face when you pull out a physical list and they're stuck with a dead screen.
