The "before/after" slider felt gimmicky until a hiring manager mentioned it
I never used sliders on my portfolio, thought they were too flashy. Last month a hiring manager at a studio in Denver told me she clicked through my whole site just to see if I had one, guess it helps show process fast. Has anyone else found a specific interaction that got recruiters to actually stay on the page?

Sliders and hover effects do the same thing too. When someone can see the rough sketch turn into the finished piece without having to click through a bunch of pages, it keeps their eyes on the work longer. Ive seen people skip straight to the process section on sites that do this well, then go back up to look at the final shots with more context. It also cuts down their questions during the first call since they already know how you think through a project. That Denver studio owner probably remembers your work better than the other hundred portfolios she glanced at that day.
