Somebody told me my case studies were too boring to read through
A recruiter actually said they clicked off my portfolio after 30 seconds because my case studies read like instruction manuals. I changed everything to short sentences and photos showing me making mistakes. Now I start each one with what went wrong first, then how I fixed it. Has anybody else gotten feedback that made you completely redo your whole portfolio?

The mistake-first approach is a TOTAL game changer. I started every case study with a clear problem statement and a screenshot of the actual failure, like a broken layout in testing or a user feedback quote calling my work confusing. People remember the struggle way more than the perfect end result. Short photos with real captions made a huge difference too, just 2-3 lines max under each image.
