Rant: I put my old portfolio site next to my new one and the difference was huge

My old site was just a long page of images I made in college, but the new one I built in Webflow has a clear project story for each piece (like the rebrand I did for a local bakery in Austin). The feedback I got from a mentor was way more about my process and less about just the final look. Has anyone else found that showing your work steps makes that big of a difference in reviews?

I used to think that too, but seeing the actual data really changed my mind on it.
