PSA: I hit 50 portfolio views in a day and it freaked me out

I posted my design portfolio on Behance last Tuesday morning and got 50 unique visitors before lunch just from a single forum comment, and now I'm wondering if that traffic spike actually means my work is good or if it was just luck, so has anyone else seen a sudden jump like that and figured out what caused it?

50 views in a day freaked me out" is a pretty low bar for being freaked out. I'm going to play the mean teacher here and say that number means nothing. You posted your work on a Tuesday morning and got a bump from one forum comment. That's a tiny blip, not a signal. 50 people clicking a link is basically zero data. You need hundreds or thousands of views before you can even start guessing if the work is good or if it was just the algorithm or timing. Honestly, if you're getting worked up over 50 views, you're setting yourself up for a lot of disappointment when that number drops back to single digits next week. Focus on the work itself, not the counter.
