My case study PDF was 90 pages because I used screenshots, then I tried a 3 line text summary

I had a project wrap up last month and I kept putting screenshots of every single iteration in the final case study. It hit 90 pages and I knew nobody was gonna read it. So I forced myself to write a 3 line summary of what problem I solved, what I did, and what the result was. Put that at the top. Then I deleted half the screenshots. People actually commented on the work now instead of just scrolling. Has anyone else tried putting a TLDR at the top of their portfolio pieces? Did it help or hurt?

The part about people actually commenting on the work now instead of just scrolling really hit me. I've done the same thing where I packed a case study with so many screenshots that it felt more like a photo dump than a story. Deleting half of them and adding a tight summary at the top sounds scary because you worry you're losing the "proof" of your process, but it sounds like it forced people to focus on the actual thinking. I bet that 3 line summary made them curious enough to look closer at the images that stayed, which is way better than them skimming 90 pages and getting nothing. Good for you for having the guts to cut it down, I know that's not easy.
