I keep getting told to remove my rough work from my portfolio.

I shared my design portfolio for feedback a while back. Many reviewers said to only include polished projects, but I believe my early sketches help explain my ideas. Do you think process work has a place in a portfolio?

I kept a separate 'process' page that worked for me.

I used to cram every sketch and wireframe into my main portfolio pages until a creative director told me it looked messy. Seeing @finleybutler mention a separate process page was the fix I needed. Now my main portfolio is just the clean final work, but I have a single link at the top to a separate case study file with all the rough stuff. It keeps the first look professional but still shows how I think. That balance got me way more callbacks than my old cluttered approach.
