I finally stopped putting 20 projects in my portfolio after a talk with a lead at Adobe

I used to think more work meant more skill, so I had like 20 case studies on my site. At a meetup in Austin, an Adobe design lead told me he only looks at the first 4 projects and if they're not strong, he closes the tab. That hit me hard. Now I'm cutting it down to 5 of my absolute best pieces. How many projects do you all think is the sweet spot for getting hired?

Cut it down to four or five. Quality always beats quantity.

But is it really that big of a deal? Sometimes you just want a bunch of options.
