Finally figured out my portfolio's 'about me' section after a bad coffee chat
I had two versions of my intro page: one was a long paragraph about my 'journey' and the other was just three bullet points with my skills and location. I showed both to a friend over coffee last week and timed how long she looked at each. She spent maybe 10 seconds on the paragraph but a full minute on the bullet points, asking me real questions about the projects I listed. The clear, scannable info won by a mile. Now I'm redoing my whole site to lead with the simple stuff first. Has anyone else cut down their bio text and seen better results from people looking at their work?

Clear and scannable" is exactly what my friend found too.

Wait, your friend actually read it? @robinmason, mine just scrolls past anything longer than a tweet.
