Can we talk about portfolios that hide the work behind too many clicks?
I went to a design meetup in Austin last week and someone showed me their portfolio site - it took 4 clicks and a scroll just to see a single project thumbnail. Every page had these fancy animations that slowed things down way too much. Why do designers think loading delays make them look more professional instead of just frustrating people?

Hard disagree on this one. A portfolio is a design piece itself, not just a file folder. That slow load time? It's theater. It forces you to slow down and actually look instead of scrolling past in half a second. Saw a photographer's site once where you had to click and wait for each image to fade in. Was it annoying? Yeah a little. But I remembered every single photo. Speed isn't always the point. Sometimes the friction is the whole reason you stop and pay attention.

Yeah that "theater" thing really hit me, totally get what you mean.
