Tried printing on textured watercolor paper in my laser printer - messy result but I love the look

I grabbed a sheet of 140lb cold press watercolor paper from my art stash last weekend and fed it through my old Brother laser printer, just to see what would happen. The paper jammed twice, then the toner came out all crackly and speckled on the rough spots. But honestly? It gave this really nice vintage postcard effect that I can't get from any digital filter. The texture catches light in a weird way. Anyone else experiment with nonstandard papers in a regular printer and get something you actually like?

That "vintage postcard" look is just toner dust on top of rough paper.

Maybe it's just me but that textured paper adds so much character though.
