TIL the hard way about font embedding in PDFs

I was wrapping up a flyer design and sent the file to print in a hurry. Forgot to embed the fonts in the PDF, so the text came out all messed up. The print shop had to hold the job until I fixed it, adding a full day of delay. This made me realize that skipping small steps can cause big waits later on. Now I always take a minute to check my export settings before hitting send. What's your go-to step to avoid print delays?
