The napkin sketch that became a 14 foot banner
Last Tuesday a client walked into my shop with a logo drawn on a greasy diner napkin. They wanted it blown up to 14 feet for a trade show booth by Friday. I scanned it, cleaned up the edges, and recreated it in vector form but the original pencil lines were so wobbly it took about 6 hours to smooth out. The final print looked sharp and the client was thrilled, but I still can't believe I charged them only $180 for that rush job. Has anyone else had a client hand over something ridiculous and expect a museum quality print overnight?
