PSA: The kid at the print counter in Dayton didn't know what a bleed was, and it made me feel old
I was picking up a job at a copy center in Dayton last week and heard the young guy at the counter tell a customer that leaving a quarter inch of white edge on her flyer was just how printers work. When I explained that bleed gets trimmed off so the color runs all the way to the edge, he looked at me like I was speaking Latin, and I realized nobody ever showed him. Did the shops you all came up in teach bleed on the first day, or did you have to figure it out the hard way like I did?
