Pro tip: I started printing my own color swatch books on a cheap inkjet.
Everyone online said you need a pro printer for accurate color, but after three tries with my $200 Epson, I got a match so close the client couldn't tell the difference. Has anyone else found a budget workaround that actually holds up for client proofs?

Wait, you got a color match with the basic ink that came with the printer? That's the part that blows my mind. Those starter cartridges are usually terrible.

What printer do you have?

Honestly seems like a weird thing to get hung up on. It's just starter ink, they're basically a free sample. Who expects perfection from that?
