Overheard a printer tech say 'paper grain matters more than your color profile'

I was dropping off a test run at the local print shop on Main Street and one of their guys was explaining to a customer how paper grain can warp a book binding if you don't align it right. Made me second-guess all my digital-only habits. Anyone else ever mess up a job because of paper orientation?

Yeah paper grain got me good on a saddle-stitch booklet... learned to always test with a scrap sheet first now.

Yeah honestly I used to think it was all about the profile too.
