My card-making hobby taught me that fancy paper isn't always better.
Using basic paper can add charm to handmade prints, contrary to what many say.

Basic paper can be great, but it doesn't work with all inks. I've had designs get muddy when the paper soaked up too much. Higher quality stock prevents that for detailed work.

Wait, you actually like how it soaks in?

What made you stop using fancy paper? I always thought cheap paper looked amateur until I tried it for thank-you cards. The way basic paper absorbs ink gives a softer, more personal finish. Now I actually seek out simpler stock because it feels more genuine.
