I used to design everything on a 13 inch laptop screen and now I can't go back to anything under 27 inches

For like 5 years I did all my layout and print work on a tiny Dell XPS while sitting on my couch. Thought it was fine. Then last year I picked up a cheap Dell monitor from a guy on Craigslist for $60 and hooked it up. The first time I opened up InDesign and actually saw facing pages without zooming in and out every 2 seconds I felt kinda dumb for not doing this sooner. Does anyone else find that bigger screens just make spotting alignment issues and spacing problems way easier or is it just me?

For real. Caught myself eye-straining at tiny panels for years, never going back.

Man same thing happened to me and @angela_wilson78 is right about the eye strain thing... I didn't realize how much I was squinting until I didn't have to anymore. Bigger screens just let your eyes relax while you work instead of hunting for stuff. The spacing and alignment stuff becomes so obvious too like you see a 2px gap from across the room almost. I spent years blaming my eyes getting worse but really I was just working on a postage stamp.
