I finally fixed my gutter brackets after a pressman in Toledo called my layout 'sneeze proof'
I was showing off a tri-fold brochure layout to a pressman at a shop off Monroe Street, and he looked at it for like 4 seconds and said it was 'sneeze proof', which meant one wrong move and all my text would bunch up. Turns out my line spacing was so tight that any little misregistration on the press would make the paragraphs bleed into each other, so I bumped the leading from 11pt to 13.5pt on the next run. How tight do you all run your leading before a press guy starts giving you weird nicknames for your files?
