Hot take: Pantone guides are a scam for small shops
Hit $400 last month just replacing my Pantone book because the colors faded after 6 months. Seriously. Got the new one and compared a spot color from the old one. Huge difference. Why do we keep paying for something that expires like milk? Anyone else just eyeballing it now?

Oh man, I feel this. I've got a Pantone book from 2019 that I swear has its own unique color palette now. You ever try matching a "faded cream" to a client's logo and end up with something that looks like dirty dishwater?

Guess my "eggshell white" ended up looking like day old oatmeal.
