Changed my mind about matte laminate after seeing it on a menu at Louie's Diner
I used to think matte laminate was a waste of money for menus because it scuffs easier than gloss. Then I ate at Louie's Diner in Portland and watched people handle their menus all night without a single glare bouncing off the pages under those bright ceiling lights. The text stayed easy to read from every angle, even at the back booth where the light hits hard. Now I'm rethinking my whole stance for any piece that gets read under overhead lighting. Has anyone else switched to matte after seeing it in a real setting like that?
