Update: wasted $45 on that fancy keratin treatment at the beauty supply store...

Turns out the kind they sell to salons needs a special flat iron I don't have and now my hair just feels greasy after 3 washes, has anyone else fallen for a product that needs expensive extra tools?

Sat through three washes before I realized I'd basically paid to have my hair feel like I'd dunked it in vegetable oil. The fine print on those bottles should just say "requires $200 flat iron and a cosmetology license." At least you didn't buy the matching shampoo and conditioner before trying the treatment first. That's a lesson I learned the expensive way.

Ngl, that vegetable oil comparison hit me right in the wallet, been there with a "detox" shampoo that left my hair looking like I'd wrestled a deep fryer.
